During your Anti Wrinkle injectable treatment, we apply a topical anaesthetic to the areas of your face that will be treated. The topical anaesthetic works to numb your skin, so you don’t feel any pain. The treatment will be as comfortable as possible. Our numbing creams contain benzocaine, lidocaine, and tetracaine (BLT).
About 15 to 30 minutes after the procedure, your face should still be numb. Once your skin is numb, the Anti Wrinkle injections are done with a very fine needle. You won’t feel any pain; however, you may feel a slight pinching sensation.
When you’re ready for an anti-wrinkle injection procedure, your face is first cleaned. In most cases, you’ll need injections in different areas of your face; however, this depends on which areas are being treated.
You’ll be asked to move the muscles of your face so your practitioner can find the best place for the injections. The injection process usually takes about twenty minutes.
Most patients won’t see any major changes in their faces right away. The procedure can take up to 2–3 days to start working and may take between 2–3 weeks before the full effect is apparent.
During this time, we recommend not rubbing your face for about three days. It’s also best to avoid strenuous exercise, sunbathing (and sunbeds), or the sauna for at least 2 days after the injections.
Results typically last around 3 to 4 months. Regular maintenance treatments can help maintain the effects over time.
There is minimal downtime associated with anti-wrinkle injections. Most patients can resume their daily activities immediately after the treatment.
