There’s no doubt, the Russian Lips trend is the latest in lip augmentation. Here’s what you need to know about the Russian Lips St Albans technique.
Russian Lip technique pulls up the lips and keeps them flat and defined. Russian Lip hyaluronic acid fillers are one of the most popular types of dermal filler and change your lips shape by lifting and increasing their volume.
Russian Lip hyaluronic acid filler is a gel injected into the lips to add fullness and volume. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance found in the body that delivers nutrients, hydrates, and acts as a cushioning agent.
Russian Lips St Albans technique uses lip fillers to add height to the lips but keeps them flat and defined. The key to the Russian Lips technique is to use lip filler starting at the centre and working outward toward the borders to create the perfect cupid’s bow.
Developed by Dr Garunova in Russia, the trend for Russian Lips has spread around the world. Ola was trained personally by Dr Garunova and is one of the few experts in the technique practising in the UK.
Lips can become thinner as a result of the natural ageing process. However, some people may have thin lips caused by genetics. No matter what causes OLA Aesthetics treats thinner or asymmetrical lips by using lip fillers to create fuller and more shapely lips.
While lip fillers can be highly effective, it’s important to understand that they are not a permanent solution. Russian Lip treatments can last between 6 to 12 months on average.
Why Do Russian Lips St Albans Need to Be Repeated?
Many patients may need Russian lips filler treatments repeated every six months. However, there are patients who metabolise (absorb) lip fillers faster than others. In that case, some patients may need additional treatment sooner. There are also patients who may not need another Russian Lips filler treatments again for up to a year. What’s more, a smaller amount of filler is all that may be required for repeat injections.
Are Russian Lips St Albans Injections Painful?
Yes, you may feel some discomfort during lip filler treatment. However, at Ola Aesthetics we reduce discomfort through the use of a topical anaesthetic that works to numb the area before your injections. Many find this considerably cuts down on any pain or discomfort felt during the injections.
In addition, most lip fillers also contain a numbing medication that helps reduce pain at the site of injection.
How are Russian Lips St Albans Applied?
Before your Russian Lip filler procedure, we apply a topical anaesthetic cream to your lips. The anaesthetic numbs the lips so you won’t feel any pain. The cream contains benzocaine, lidocaine, and tetracaine. After about 15 to 30 minutes, your lips should be numb.
Once you’re ready for the procedure, a fine, thin needle is used to inject the lip filler. While you won’t feel any pain, it is possible you may feel a pinching sensation and your eyes may water. These are completely normal sensations.
Usually, we will insert about 1ml of lip filler into your lips, which adds up to about 1/5th of a teaspoon. The needle does not go deeper into the skin than about 2.5mm. The entire process takes between 30 minutes and an hour.
Russian Lips St Albans technique restores and adds volume to your lips to help you achieve a desired look, which in turn can boost your self-esteem.
Russian Lips St Albans procedure is safe and there’s a very low risk of complications and side effects.
It is reversible; if you’re not happy with the way you look, we can inject an enzyme (called hyaluronidase) that dissolves the lip filler.
Ola is highly skilled and very experienced in the artistic application of the Russian Lips St Albans technique. Treatments are tailored to each client, to meet their needs and goals. It’s all about considering your entire face, including facial features and proportions, skin quality, and facial volume loss.
