What are the Possible Side Effects of Russian Lips?
Most side effects from lip filler treatments are mild to moderate and usually last less than seven days.
However, it is possible for symptoms to last as long as two weeks after the procedure.

FAQ
Many patients may need Russian lip filler treatments repeated every six months. However, some patients metabolise (absorb) fillers faster than others, meaning they may require additional treatment sooner. Others may not need another treatment for up to a year.
What’s more, a smaller amount of filler is often required for repeat injections.
You may feel some discomfort during lip filler treatment. However, at OLA Aesthetics we reduce discomfort through the use of a topical anaesthetic that numbs the area before your injections. Many patients find this significantly reduces any pain or discomfort during the procedure.
In addition, most lip fillers contain a numbing agent that helps reduce pain at the injection site.
Before your Russian lip filler procedure, a topical anaesthetic cream is applied to your lips to numb the area. This cream typically contains benzocaine, lidocaine, and tetracaine. After around 15 to 30 minutes, your lips should feel numb.
Once ready, a fine needle is used to inject the filler. While you won’t feel pain, you may notice a slight pinching sensation and your eyes may water—both of which are completely normal.
Typically, around 1ml of filler is used (approximately 1/5 of a teaspoon). The needle is inserted only shallowly, at a depth of around 2.5mm. The procedure usually takes between 30 minutes and one hour.
